Welcome!
Dear New Faculty:
Between Tuesday, August 11 and Friday, August 14, we will be running a series of online events in order to introduce you to different parts of Mizzou, to help you get to know each other, and to set you up for success as you make this exciting transition in your career.
Every morning we will gather as a group to meet different people who are critical to the success of Mizzou. We hope you will begin each day with us before exploring the other events and resources of this orientation.
Throughout the day there will be live events conducted over Zoom for you to join. We encourage you to join as many as you can. These will include panel discussions as well as presentations and Q&As. You’ll learn about MU’s strategic plan around Inclusive Excellence, how to set up a successful research plan, how innovative teaching is supported here, and many other important things.
You will also be able to access additional videos, information, and links on our “New Faculty Orientation” Canvas page, which will house asynchronous materials for you to peruse at your leisure. These resources will remain on this site so that you can refer to them throughout the year as needed.
We will end this orientation with a “closing reception” at 3pm on Friday afternoon which you won’t want to miss.
Welcome, and enjoy your week of getting oriented!
Registration
Please fill out this very short registration form, which will then allow you to access the Zoom links and other resources for Orientation.
Canvas Site
On our New Faculty Orientation Canvas site, you will find videos, resources, and information about a variety of important topics, organizations, and offices.
