Vice Provost for International Programs
Mary Stegmaier, Ph.D., is the Vice Provost for International Programs at the University of Missouri. In this role, she directs the International Center, which serves all international students and scholars, assures compliance with related federal regulations, manages university study abroad programs and fosters university international initiatives.
Dr. Stegmaier is a professor in the Truman School of Government and Public Affairs. As a comparative politics scholar, she has spent extensive time conducting research in Central and Eastern Europe. Her research on international elections and voting behavior has been published in academic journals, the Washington Post, and the Brookings Institution blog. She has also served as an international election observer with the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe in Albania, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia and Uzbekistan.
