The Office of the Provost works collaboratively with the president, dean’s council, vice provosts and vice chancellors, and other administrative leaders across several priority areas to support faculty, promote student success, enhance high-impact research and scholarship, and facilitate extension and engagement efforts that enhance the academic environment and experience at Mizzou.
My intent as provost is to be transparent and accountable in the work we do and build a culture of trust that promotes excellence in all of our activities. I invite you to explore the priorities below that demonstrate the impact of our collective work.
General Education Task Force
The General Education Task Force was created to review Mizzou’s General Education Program, examine best practices at other institutions, and make recommendations for revisions to the Mizzou General Education Program structure and outcomes.

Investing in faculty excellence, infrastructure growth and student success. Dr. Roman Ganta’s lab in the Bond Life Sciences Center studies tick-borne diseases.
Artificial Intelligence
Embracing the innovation and opportunity of AI in a socially responsible manner that aligns with the values of our institution.
Strategic Plan
Supporting specific strategic goals in the areas of Student Success, Research, Scholarship, and Creative Works, and Outreach and Engagement that serve as guides for activities and initiatives across the institution.
Faculty Success
Supporting faculty in their teaching, research, clinical activities, engagement, outreach and extension efforts and professional development.
Academic Programs
Delivering the highest-quality undergraduate and graduate degree programs, minors, and certificates that prepare students for both fulfilling careers and informed citizenship.
Undergraduate Research
Enhancing opportunities to work directly with faculty on high-impact practices that promote student success and supports the institutional research mission.
