Connection is a faculty support program designed for both tenure-track (TT) and non-tenure-track (NTT) faculty, primarily assistant and early associate-level professors. The program is geared towards those who identify with various intersecting identities and those interested in fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all faculty.
Connection is built around four areas of support:
- Connecting to people and building community,
- Connecting to supports to progress through the tenure and/or promotion process,
- Connecting to people and resources on campus to support passions, interests, and as faculty holistically, and
- Connecting with purpose as scholars
Connection gathers monthly during the academic year for whole group and small group meetings on various topics related to the four points listed above.
Connection is facilitated by Shruti Rana, assistant provost for strategic faculty initiatives and Candace Kuby, associate provost for faculty affairs.
