The Office of the Provost asked schools and colleges to send us positive messages about faculty they have received from students. Below are a few that demonstrate the dedication of our faculty in these unprecedented times.
Jacqueline Limberg, Nutrition & Exercise Physiology
Hi Dr. Limberg-
I know we didn’t really end the block like any of us expected/hoped, so unfortunately I am not able to thank you in person like I would have liked, but I figured an email was the least I could do. It’s been so nice getting to know you over the past block. I admire your creativity in trying to find new ways for us to connect with each other and with the information we were discussing. You did a wonderful job of creating an open, inviting, and non-judgmental atmosphere for us. I truly enjoyed each PBL session and learned so much. I hope you have a fantastic holiday season with your family and an amazing new year (let’s be honest, this one is a little bit garbage). Time for a fresh start for everyone!
Thank you again and all the best,
Jadee Wagner
Dale Fitch, School of Social Work
Dr. Fitch,
I wanted to reach out to you and thank you for being so flexible with me this semester. I know this semester was challenging for everyone and I really appreciated how much you cared for your students. It was most definitely made very clear! Thank you for making special accommodations for me, extending deadlines, and for being so understanding about my circumstances. I appreciated all the hard work you put into this semester and I thoroughly enjoyed this class as well as having you as a professor. I look forward to potentially taking more classes taught by you in the future!
Once again, thank you so much for an incredible semester!
Thanks,
Zoe Hughes
Laura Cole, Architectural Studies
Hello Laura! I just wanted to take this time to thank you and let you know how much I appreciate your hard work and dedication to your students this semester, along with other semesters. You made the transition to online learning ten times easier for us, and I can’t thank you enough. I really wanted to tell you how much I admire your commitment to your students success in this program and our overall well-being….I can’t describe to you how much it meant to me that you took extra time out of your day to either provide us with a meditation or a pep-talk lecture. Your efforts and dedication to your students does not go unnoticed. Throughout my years of schooling, even though I have had several great teachers/professors, there will always be a select few that really stand out in my mind. You have been put into that category with your willingness to truly love and care for your students. Thank you for all that you have done, not only for me but the several other students you impact daily. I wish you & your family a lovely upcoming holiday. Again, thank you.
Best wishes, Tayler Pellhum.
Dr. Kale Monk, Human Development & Family Science
Hi! I just wanted to let you know how great of a job you have done relaying all the updates and changes. It is so easy for me to follow along and make sure everything is completed. I really appreciate all the work you have put into making this as easy as possible for us!
Thank you so much!!!
Hannah Wrobel
Michael Harmata, Chemistry
Prof Harmata,
Thank you for a challenging but insightful course this semester. I appreciate that you posted all the lectures ahead of schedule and made it accommodating for us as students. Your lectures made it easier especially when you cracked jokes at yourself haha! Your test formats were challenging but in a good way and I feel that it actually made me grow as a student. I’m also thankful for the many resources you provided for the preparation for the tests. Like the homework and the book and everything! This was a very hard semester connecting with us as students and our learning patterns but I do believe you tried your very best and for that I am appreciative. I hope your winter break and holidays with your family is well and good health to you! Lastly thank you for making me think outside of the box and actually making me realize that it doesn’t come easy and that I did have to put in a little extra study time to grasp the info and not just watch the lectures. You have made me grow as a student!
Deborah Heulsbergen, Art
You’re sincerely the most down to earth and most relatable professor I have ever had in my life! You’ve made me smile throughout a very rough semester and I would just like to compliment the light you’ve brought into so many of our lives. Please keep doing you, you’re the best!
