Provost Priorities
Provost Matthew Martens
The Office of the Provost works collaboratively with the president, dean’s council, vice provosts and vice chancellors, and other administrative leaders across several priority areas to support faculty, promote student success, enhance high-impact research and scholarship, and facilitate extension and engagement efforts that enhance the academic environment and experience at Mizzou.
My intent as provost is to be transparent and accountable in the work we do and build a culture of trust that promotes excellence in all of our activities. I invite you to explore the priorities below that demonstrate the impact of our collective work.

Artificial Intelligence
Embracing the innovation and opportunity of AI in a socially responsible manner that aligns with the values of our institution.


MizzouForward
Investing in faculty excellence, infrastructure growth and student success. Dr. Sachin Handa's research was recently featured in Show Me Mizzou.


Strategic Plan
Identifying specific strategic goals in the areas of Student Success, Research, Scholarship, and Creative Works, and Outreach and Engagement that serve as guides for activities and initiatives across the institution.

Faculty Success
Supporting faculty in their teaching, research, clinical activities, engagement, outreach and extension efforts and professional development.

Delivering the highest-quality undergraduate and graduate degree programs, minors, and certificates that prepare students for both fulfilling careers and informed citizenship.
