The Office of the Provost expects all departments to have a faculty workload policy. These policies provide a standard expectation for faculty workload in each area of teaching, research, and service, while recognizing the disciplinary diversity that must be reflected in unit level policies. Workload policies are a critical piece of faculty success and provide an avenue for accountability.
