Slide with COVID Info
Earlier this week, we shared a slide for faculty to show their students at the beginning and/or end of class. In addition, and based on the questions we heard from you, we have created three additional slides that provide simple directions on how to get tested, testing locations, and what you must do as you await test results. Your faculty can import any of these from Canvas Commons. The link to these slides that you can import from Canvas Commons is shown below.
To import these files:
- Go to https://lor.instructure.com/resources/15173b8e1c504dc6aca7d7ffdc1a1cc9?shared
- Click the blue “Import/Download” button
- Select the Canvas course site into which they would like to import it
- Click either “Import into Course” or “Download”
Please remind yourself, and all faculty and staff to be using the #CampusClear app every day. Also please remind them to have their students do this. It is entirely appropriate, for instructors to begin every class by saying, “If you haven’t done #CampusClear today, please take out your phones and do so!” This is a web application and can be completed on any device with internet access.
Return to Campus Training
HR will send you the list of faculty and staff in your area who have not completed this training.
Please remind faculty, and staff to complete the Return to Campus training.
Students Returning to the Classroom after COVID
If you have a student who was diagnosed with COVID, they will be provided with a letter of release once they are no longer contagious and can return to the classroom. Instructors can request this letter from the student if they want, but this should be done privately with the student.
New Multicultural Faculty Reception
There will be a reception for all new multicultural faculty on Wednesday, September 16th at 5pm. Faculty have received invitations – please encourage them to attend.
Thank you for all you are doing to create an effective learning environment, despite all challenges. We are learning as we go, and thanks to you, we are adapting quickly. We cannot do this alone – we need all of us doing our part, now more than ever.
