The Provost is the Chief Academic Officer of the University. He or she is responsible for oversight and planning for all academic programs and academic support functions of the University.

Primary Responsibilities

The MU Provost's Office is responsible for:

• The twelve colleges and their schools, departments, and centers
• MU Libraries
• Office of Research
• International Programs
• Office of Institutional Research
• University of Missouri Extension
• Advanced Studies (The Graduate School)
• Undergraduate Studies
• Administrative Services
• Enrollment Management
• IAT Services
• MU Budget Office
• Student Affairs (The Office of Student Affairs includes Residential Life, Student Life, and student organizations.)

The Provost Office provides oversight to the undergraduate and graduate curriculum, and the student and faculty services that support the delivery of that curriculum.
